The Story

As long as I can remember, I've been fascinated with computers. When the first PC entered our home, I got hooked. By the time I was 11, I had built my first computer from parts retrieved from the scrapyard.

When I found out that you could actually make your living working with computers, I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up. Fast-forward... I've grown up and am living the dream.

Today, through AM8 B.V., I help organizations build scalable infrastructure, automate deployments, and bring ML models to production. My focus has always been on staying an expert in both infrastructure and application development—a combination that shines brightest in cloud technology and MLOps.

Philosophy

Passion for IT is the key to any challenge, and often the challenge is the key to passion. I make sure the challenge is always there.

I believe in Open Source, continuous learning, and building tools that make developers' lives better. My homelab runs 20+ self-hosted services, fully managed as code—a practical playground for experimentation.
